Who is Hatch?
Adam Jacobs, cofounder of The ICONIC, and Chaz Heitner, cofounder of ZipCo, have a track record of tapping into the needs and desires of the next generation. The ICONIC really changed how young people shopped online, and ZipCo changed how people pay for it. But it turns out that was only their opening act. Helping Gen Z professionals find meaningful work is their true passion, and are turning all their experience building for this audience — and hiring them — into Hatch, the next-generation AI-driven jobs marketplace.
By incorporating core values, aspirations and team fit and going beyond traditional metrics of job compatibility, Hatch gathers massive amounts of proprietary data. This data feeds its AI algorithms to help ensure each match is not just a job placement but a step towards a fulfilling career path. And it’s catching on — Hatch has been growing 20% month on month for the past two years, has more than 150,000 candidates on the platform, a matching rate three times the industry average and 90% of candidates placed rated 90%+.

Hatch is a jobs marketplace that redefines what it means to look for a job. It uses an AI algorithm to do the heavy lifting for candidates and recruiters. By understanding how Gen-Z professionals look for work and the values they seek in choosing a job, Hatch can collect unique and insightful data that its AI engine uses to recommend roles and highlight the best-match candidates, saving 100s of hours of manual work for both job-seekers and employers.

Gen Zs are pickier than ever, demanding roles that not only match their ambitions but also provide a sense of fulfilment and purpose. At the same time, they make up a huge chunk (around 25%) of the workforce, so employers and recruiters are having to invest in new ways to find talented young professionals, in a market now worth more than $28b.
